This four-hour course is designed to meet the needs of lay rescuers learning CPR to protect family members, friends and co-workers. Class does not meet the needs of health care providers. Curriculum includes infant, child and adult CPR, relief of foreign body airway obstruction and AED (defibrillator). Course meets day care certification requirements. Face shield provided. Upon successful completion of practical skills testing, participants receive a course credential card. Classes are taught by certified instructors from the SBM Fire Department. This “Take Heart Anoka County” class covers adult CPR, this class is intended for those who simply wish to know the skills of CPR but do not need a credential. Each class meets for 1 hour and is free to attend. Register online! Taught by certified SBM personnel.
Blaine Parks & Recreation in conjunction with SBM Fire Department will be hosting a First Aid Class twice yearly at Fire Station 3. The class is $45 to attend and will be limited to 12 participants. The class follows curriculum for Heartsaver First Aid and CPR. Upon successful completion, candidates will receive a credential card of completion.
